James Dickey

James Dickey talks to a Boston untouchable about the condition of his dream. The dream is about being wanted and the fear of loss. James describes the location where his dream takes place as just around the corner from where you would normally walk. I think Mr. Dickey is intending his dream to end, over and over, so as to add to its flavor, his own Hedonic plague. He has made his own persistent nowhere. Last night as I was going down the stairs in my house, I had the same feeling only I was awake. The stairwell was my own persistent nowhere.
